Dual Guildwars?
Hello everyone,
I've got a small dilemna I'd like to ask about. I've recently "suckered" my wife into playing Guild Wars with me, which is amazing. The last game she played was probably Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis and that didn't even last long. Here's the question: I own all 3 versions of Guildwars; Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. We have two computers in the same room both linked to a ISP Router, so obviously we share the same IP address. How could I make it possible to run Guildwars at the same time on both machines? For example, could I use my monk while she logs on as a warrior or elementalist? Please tell me that she isn't going to have to go out and purchase all three games when we live in the same household and share the same things. That would be a sad and pathetic story. -.X Isn't there some way to run Dual Guildwars in the house without having to own double copies of all 3 games? Thanks! ^^ |

Bad news...you have to go out and buy the games again. You both can't access 1 account at the same time.

If you share an account as soon as the 2nd one logs in a toon the 1st one gets booted out.
You should probably create a new account for the chapter of your choice and make sure she likes it before investing in all 3. |

I saw several deals where they were offering either Prophecies or Factions, if you wee too buy NF, while they may be over the holiday rush, perhaps you can convince some well to do store owner to let it slide.

DeanBB is correct, as soon as the 2nd computer logs in and loads a character the 1st computer gets disconnected. My suggestion is to get her Nightfall (39.99 at Amazon right now) and let her get a character made there with the ability to make her own heros. Then get the other games if she wants later. NF is by far the easiest to learn and the heros make it a stellar game.

You can run multiple copies of the game at the same time on the same computer, they just can't be using the same account.
